Atlantic County, New Jersey May Not Be Good for Children and Other Living Things

Today’s issue of The New York Times includes an interactive feature that charts predictions of economic and lifestyle futures for children born across the United States. According to this feature, Atlantic County, New Jersey

…is extremely bad for income mobility for children in poor families. It is among the worst counties in the U.S.

We may have known this from research conducted by the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy and other economic watchdog organizations. However, to see it reported in the Times produces another level of recognition.
