Nicholas Kristof Gives a Bump to Unions

Nicholas Kristof argues in “The cost of a Decline in Unions,” which appeared in this Sunday’s edition of The New York Times, that unions benefit the middle class and, as a result, can help to reduce the inequality gap. In addition, Kristof notes, “A study in the American Sociological Review, using the broadest methodology, estimates that the decline of unions may account for one-third of the rise of inequality among men.”
